Why WiseHop?
We grew up watching ride-hailing become indispensable — and frustrating. Surge that spikes when you need a ride most. Drivers earning less every year as platforms tightened margins. Phone numbers leaking. Refunds that take a week.
WiseHop is what happens when you redesign the whole stack around two principles: passenger sees every option, and driver earns from skill, not algorithm.
Our principles
Bids over surge
Surge pricing is opaque. It punishes the people who need a ride most. We replaced it with live driver bids — you see who's near, what they drive, what they charge, what previous passengers said. You pick. No algorithm overrules you.
Drivers paid fairly, by them
Other platforms set the price and squeeze the driver. We let the driver set the price and let the passenger choose. Drivers compete on price, vehicle quality, and rating — the way real markets work. Our commission drops as drivers grow.
Privacy that's actually private
Phone numbers never leave the app. Voice calls route through self-hosted LiveKit. Chat stays inside WiseHop. We don't sell your data; we don't track you across the web.
Money that moves at the speed of trust
Wallet-first means you top up once and ride forever. Fares hit a real-time escrow. Refunds are instant. Drivers get paid the moment the ride completes — withdraw any time to bank, PayPal, or crypto.
Safety, built-in not bolted-on
One-tap SOS. Trip-share link with no phone numbers. Geofence enforcement on driver lifecycle. Driver verification on every account, periodic re-verification, background checks. Cryptographically signed receipts. None of this is marketing — it's in the stack.
The team
WiseHop is led by a small founding team based in the Kingdom of Bahrain with backgrounds in mobility, fintech, and public-cloud infrastructure. We're hiring across engineering, operations, and growth — see open roles below.
